Mayor Nexsen shared some good economic news.  Year-over-year permits for single-family home new construction was up, as were permits for renovations of single-family homes.  It is good to see people willing to reinvest in existing properties again.  He also told members that sales tax revenue is also increasing, which is an indication that local businesses are benefitting from an improved economy.

He reported that the sewer project was finished early and significantly under budget.  He also stated they are working on a potential refinance of the outstanding debt, which could have the impact of lowering consumer bills.
